Orthophosphoric acid of 85% food grade, colourless food.
Description: usually orthophosphoric (or just phosphoric acid) acid call 85 % - y water solution (flavourless colourless siropoobrazny liquid). Rastvorima also in ethanol and other solvents.
Use of orthophosphoric acid in the food industry:
Orthophosphoric acid (E338) concerns to group of antioxidants ― additives which are designed to protect food from change of color and oxidation. Orthophosphoric acid application ― for acidulation of food and drinks, enriching products with sour or sharp taste. It is possible to apply, of course, instead of it lemon acid, but orthophosphoric acid differs in the low cost and easy in availability at the expense of what it is widely used at production:
- baking powders;
- processed cheeses;
- sausages;
- sugar;
- the flavored drinks ― Coca - Colas, Pepsi Cola, sprite.
